Award Winning Service

FixMyTek has earned industry recognition for our excellence in tech repair and sustainability. Since our founding in 2017, we’ve been recognised for our commitment to quality and social impact. We’ve been shortlisted for Best National Repair Service and Best Innovative Startup at the Mobile Industry Awards for two consecutive years, earning a commendation in 2024. This is in addition to winning the Bristol New Enterprise Competition Idea and Developments stages. Our collaborations with top universities including the University of Bristol, UWE, and University of Southampton are a testament to our commitment to cutting-edge research in tech repair and sustainability.

We have well-established infrastructure, including our two repair stores partnering with University Campuses, and our Future Space lab. This state-of-the-art facility allows us to carry out repairs and refurbishments efficiently and at scale. With locations positioned to serve universities, businesses, and local communities, we have the capability to provide seamless service and support wherever it’s needed.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. By refurbishing and repairing tech, we help businesses reduce their carbon footprint, extend device lifecycles, and minimise e-waste. Our approach supports eco-friendly solutions, such as recycling, sustainable sourcing of parts, and promoting the circular economy. Working with us means you’re supporting a more sustainable tech future.

As a business born out of a university startup, fostering student growth is at the heart of what we do. The more we grow with the support of our partners like yourself, the more we can offer meaningful opportunities to students.

We collaborate closely with universities through our on-campus repair stores in the University of Bristol and UWE. These shops provide members of the academic community access to reliable, on-site, affordable tech solutions, something the University is unable to provide, while simultaneously employing students, providing valuable hands-on training, fair compensation, and experience in a sustainability-driven work environment. Many of our team members progress to full-time senior positions, contributing significantly to our mission.

Hear directly from our founder and team members about how working with us is helping shape the future of tech sustainability and student careers.

Since our founding in 2017 from the University of Bristol , FixMyTek has had clear mission: to make a lasting impact on the tech repair industry through innovation and sustainability. Our services go beyond repair to create a lasting, positive change. FixMyTek is proud to align with impactful movements that promote sustainability and responsible tech practices. By actively supporting initiatives like Right to Repair, Restart Project, and the MAKERS Project, we contribute to a culture that values repair, reuse, and sustainability.

Our partnership with the Right to Repair movement champions policies that make device repairs more accessible, ensuring businesses and individuals can extend the life of their tech. Through the Restart Project, we help foster a community-driven approach to reducing e-waste by supporting repair events and educational campaigns.

FixMyTek is leading the way in tech sustainability in Bristol. E-waste is one of the fastest-growing environmental challenges, driven by improper disposal, rapid tech upgrades, and a culture of constant replacement and planned obsolescence. Recognising the need for a circular economy, we’ve made it our mission to tackle this issue head-on.

Through workshops and educational initiatives, we engage with the community, promoting repair skills, sustainability, and youth development. Partnering with us means supporting local empowerment.

If your business space or charity would like us to organise a free e-waste drive at your space, please get in touch.
